Our oldest son, Aaron, as a young gymnast, inspired my first book, Shrimpboat and Gym Bags.  He and his wife Debbie own several Subways in the Phoenix area.  We enjoy hanging out with them when we winter in Arizona. In the summer of 2007, they made us first-time grandparents!

 

Our middle son, Rudi, graduated in May 2002, after spending his junior year abroad in Spain, on Tulane University's Junior Year Abroad Program.  A former product manager in the marketing division of Rubbermaid, he married Esther Ades on June 25, 2006, in Cleveland.  They currently live in Barcelona, where Rudi is studying for his MBA at ESADE.

 

Our youngest son, Josh, graduated in computer-engineering from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology in Minneapolis. He was an active member of the solar vehicle project, which races in student-designed and -built cars from Chicago to Los Angeles on Route 66.  He is presently a systems engineer with LSI Logic in Colorado Springs.  Josh married Julia Cotton on January 1, 2006, in Phoenix.

In January, 2003, I graduated with an MFA in Writing for Children from Vermont College and decided to drop my maiden name from my byline.
